 Terry Myerson, MicrosoftMicrosoft has agreed to acquire Hexadite, which makes provides security products. Hexadite is described as providing agentless, automatic incident investigation and remediation applications. Terms were not disclosed.

The Hexadite technology will be used to help commercial Windows 10 customers detect, investigate and respond to advanced attacks on their networks with Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection. "Hexadite's technology and talent will augment our existing capabilities and enable our ability to add new tools and services to Microsoft's robust enterprise security offerings," Terry Myerson, EVP of Microsoft's Windows and Devices Group. Headquartered in Boston Mass. Hexadite has a team of researchers in Tel-Aviv, Israel. It will become part of the Windows and Devices Group.
