COLUMBUS HAS STRONG 3Q

Thomas Honore, ColumbusColumbus, a Dynamics reseller based in Denmark, turned in a good performance for the third quarter ended September 30. The company reported EBIDTA of about $600,000 for the most recently ended period, up 250 percent over last year’s corresponding period.

Revenue was $32.7 million, an increase of 17.4 percent over a year ago. CEO Thomas Honore attributed the increase in EBIDTA to a combination of increased revenue and a focus on cost reductions. He also cited revenue growth in Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States, but did not break out numbers for the individual countries. North American revenue was about $15 million, up 45 percent over last year’s third quarter. A good deal of the increase was a result of the purchase of Detroit-based First Tech Direct, a Dynamics reseller. North American EBIDTA was about $1.5 million, in increase of 252 percent from a year ago. Revenue for Western Europe was about $11 million reflecting growth in the U.K., and a drop in revenue from the Netherlands, an operation that Columbus sold this month. For the nine months, EBIDTA was about $3.5 percent, an increase of 48.9 percent over a year ago while revenue was about $111 million, an increase of 11.4 percent.
