GEM ACCOUNTS ENTERS U.S. Featured

Gem AccountsAustralian cloud accounting software vendor Gem Accounts is entering the United States. It's coming with the usual accountant and reseller programs and monthly subscription pricing. What's I'm curious about is how much revenue opportunity there is for the channel. The product is priced at $129 per month per company for all features and unlimited users. Let's look after the sale: "From there Gem manages the client and billing - and pays you monthly a trailing commission on the client for the life of the client."

That trailing commission is $20 per month per client company which is $240 per year for the life of the client. I suppose there are opportunities for consulting services. Accountants get a $30 discount off normal pricing per client for the account life. In any event, Gem bills its product as suited for medium, large and growing small businesses. Beyond the basics, the system features stock and inventory management, assemblies and light manufacturing, and payroll management. The Aussie vendor has put the price in dollars but some terms on its web site are not yet adapted to the U.S. market, with words such a specialised. I assume the company will get there. It is charting out a stake in the English-speaking world. Gem is also in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
