HARRIS TO HEAD SAGE PROGRAM

Nancy Harris, SageNancy Harris, who has run Sage operations in Canada for several years, will become EVP of Sage's North American partner and accountant business. Her prior job is being filled by Paul Struthers as EVP and managing director of Sage Canada. She will be based in Richmond, Ontario. Struthers had worked at Amdocs since January 2001 and was VP and GM in his last position there starting in July 2014.

KELLY: 15K REGISTERED FOR SUMMIT

Steve Kelly, SageSage CEO Steve Kelly said this were there are 15,000 individuals registered for Sage Summit. And there are another 15,000 who has signed up to watch remotely the United Kingdom-based CEO said this week in a tweet. So is this a half full glass or half empty? It's a good number, but the total does not meet the 20,000 the company told exhibitors it would get.

Copley has been one of the success stories in Infor's microvertical program through its utilization of Infor Industrial Cloud Suite [SyteLine] to develop a thriving medical device business.

INFOR CREATES H&L DIGITAL DIVISION

Marc Scibelli, InforInfor has created a new division, H&L Digital a division designed to provide end-to-end cloud applications. The company said the new division, combined with existing software and platforms, would provide new capabilities. Infor has hired Marc Scibelli as lead digital strategist and head of the new division and said H&L is a client-facing extension of Hook & Loop, the company's in-house creative agency.

SAP SURGES IN SECOND QUARTER

Bill McDermott, SAPSAP was hitting on all software cylinders for the second quarter ended June 30. "We delivered a Trifecta of double-digit software, cloud and operating income growth," CEO Bill McDermott said during this week's earning's webcast. Well, that is in non-IFRS terms. On an IFRS, basis, it was a strong quarter, just not so over-the top.

SAGE LOOKS FOR ACCOUNTANT LEADER

Jennifer Warawa, SageSage is looking for someone to head its global market strategy for accountants and bookkeepers. The information was part of a LinkedIn post this week by Jennifer Warawa the company's EVP of product marketing. Warawa held leadership positions for its channel programs, starting in June 2008. She took over Sage Accountant Solutions in October 2013 and remained in charge of that program until April.

PRODWARE HALF REVS OFF

prodwareRevenue for France-based reseller Prodware dropped by 7.3 percent as SaaS sales rose sharply for the first half ended June 30. First-half revenue reached about $93 million, down 5.5 percent on a comparable basis. The company did not report earnings—those will be issued later. The company said SaaS revenue was up 31 percent over last year's corresponding period while infrastructure sales were off by 33 percent.

SAGE INTROING PARTNER PROGRAM

sageSage plans to introduce a worldwide partner program Monday at its Summit conference in Chicago. The company will lay out the design as part of its Partner Day on Monday. It seems to me I wrote a news item like this earlier and Sage pulled back from the announcement. Sage's preview this time says the program will launch in North America "in the latter part of 2017."

XERO, VEND SIGN GLOBAL ALLIANCE

Vaughan Rowsell, VendXero has reached an agreement to jointly market products worldwide with Vend, which markets POS, inventory and customer management systems for the retail market. The companies first integrated their cloud-based applications in 2010 and have joint customers in New Zealand and Australia. Now, the partners plan to penetrate other markets, including the United Kingdom and United States.

DELTEK BUYS UNION SQUARE

Richard Vincent, Union Square SoftwareDeltek has acquired Union Square Software, which makes project information and collaboration software built for the architecture, engineering and construction industry. Terms were not announced. Based in Nottingham, England, Union Square has customers in EMEA, Australia and Canada, but not many in the United States.
