Sage North America has named Joe Langner as Executive Vice President of its Midmarket and CRM Solutions business effective October 31. He will report to North American CEO Pascal Houillon. The position combines MidMarket ERP and CRM jobs that had previously been separate.

Sage is going to sell its not-for-profit accounting and fundraising packages via the direct channel. While the company says it will continue to support resellers as the primary channel, “We will also be adopting alternate sales channels as appropriate,” according to a notice to resellers from NPS Sales management about changes in sales policy for 2012.

The company described the products as "a natural complement to Infor10 EAM's convergence of energy and asset management ..." Cloud-based, the ENXSuite enables companies to plan, analyze and manage their energy and sustainability footprint. Sage 50, 100, 300, 500. ... Hike? Sage North America detailed the actual numbers for rebranding its financial products in a partner conference call this week. To say there is concern in the channel is an understatement But Doug Deane, CEO of San Diego-based DSD Business Systems noted, "Although, I am a bit anxious about the name change, we are going to trust that Sage's brand strategists have a good handle on what they are doing."

The remake of Infor's executive suite continued this week as the $2.5 billion software company named a new CFO and COO. Moving into the finance spot was Kevin Samuelson who replaced Raj Rajaji who is retiring. Rajaji is remaining with the company for six months to help with the transition.
