REDTAIL LINKS TO ACCOUNTMATE 8.2

RedTail Systems of Westborough, Mass., has released an enhanced interface that ingrates with the recently released AccountMate 8.2. RedTail EDI, a managed EDI services, handles B2B ecommerce between suppliers using the AccountMate package and their trading partners. The interface, developed by Figtree Consulting, moves EDI purchase orders to AccountMate sales orders. After the item is shipped, RedTail EDI generates and transmits the EDI invoice to the trading partner.

SAGE REBRAND UPDATE NEXT WEEK

That ought to be a well- attended event as I haven’t seen any evidence that a lot of the channel thinks changing product names to the Sage plus a number system used outside of this country. SYSPRO SIGNS VAR

Sheryl DodgeSyspro has signed A-Soft Professionals, a software reseller with offices in Austin and Houston, Texas. A-Soft is a long-time Cyma dealer and also carries Sage's Accpac line and Acctivate's inventory, distribution and warehousing software. A-Soft was one of Cyma's more visible VARs. One of its partners, Sheryl Dodge, has supported Cyma since 1997, according to the reseller's website. She is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Certified Consultant for Accpac and Sage Pro.

EXACT REPLACES SINGLE USER CONFERENCE

SAGE BUYS ALCHEMEX

alchemex logoSage has acquired Alchemex, which makes business intelligence products for the Sage product line. Alchemex is based in South Africa. A spokesperson for Sage North America confirmed the deal but the company has not made any details available. The acquistion was effective on October 1. Alchemex also markets Excel-based products for Syspro and SAP Business One. The company was founded in 2000.
