TREY’S LOSS AND SALES RISE

Given the economy, it doesn’t look like a bad result as Trey Resources, whose sales all come from Sage reseller SWK Technologies of Livingston, N.J., reported its loss rose as revenue climbed by 1.5 percent for the third quarter ended September.

Despite cost cutting, the loss rose to $325,402, as compared to $126,111 a year ago. Third quarter revenue was $1.86 million, up from $1.83 million in last year’s corresponding period. The company said it had higher consulting revenue, but that were offset partially by lower software sales and revenue from maintenance agreement. Trey had an operating profit of $129,281, but its bottom line continued to be dented by non-operating items. There was a loss of $183,362 on the amortization of discount on debt and a loss of $260,444 on the debt conversion discount on issuance of stock.
