NALPRO PICKS UP PRONTO

Pronto partner logoNalpro Business Solutions has picked up Pronto, the Australian Software line, and becomes the fifth American reseller of Pronto-Xi. That product is pictured as combining ERP, a strong transactional engine and business intelligence analytics in a unified out-of-box system. The BI capabilities stem from the embedded IBM Cognos 10 BI Suite.

Nalpro is led by president Nick Lordi and is headquartered in East Brunswick, N.J., and given the weather forecast, let’s hope Pronto can also serve as a flotation device. Nalpro also has offices in Scottsdale, Ariz.; Alta Vieja, Calif.; and the Big Apple. Nalpro also carries MAS 90/500 and Sage PFW. My memory of ancient channel history tells me that Lordi was a partner with Joe Longo before their company was acquired by TexSys RD (now ePartners). Longo and another partner, Jim Bowman, run the SBS Group which is also based in New Jersey. The other U.S. Pronto resellers include BCT, Xonitek and Business Computer Technologies. When a few months ago, I asked Terry Leister, who runs U.S recruiting, to provide some information about the partner program, he said he was being very selective. I’d say five dealers in two years is selective. Xonitek, BCT and a Canadian VAR, SHS, were signed in September 2009.
