The system can track all social media activity involving a customer contact across multiple sites, simultaneously. Also new are the new Social Profiles, which provides a snapshot of each contacts' most-used social media sites and activities, including the contact's LinkedIn profile, integrated into the contact's main overview screen and Social Buzz, which enables users to identify trending topics on social media channels and ascertain how their customers are participating. Version 8.1 also includes Saleslogix Mobile, which was released in November. Among user-required improvements are new Outlook synchronization, improved Sage ERP X3 integration, a new centralized management interface and expanded browser support. The latter enhancement includes support for Chrome, Safari and the latest versions of Firefox.

Swiftpage, the Accel-KKR-backed company that purchased Act and Saleslogix, in 2013, has introduced Saleslogix 8.1. Enhancements to the CRM package include a social media suite, available as a free add-on for the new version at saleslogix.com/marketplace. The system includes the Saleslogix Social Timeline. That tool ensures that each time a customer posts or is tagged in a post on a social media site, the post appears as an icon on the Social Timeline using the respective site's logo.
