Marianne Woldbye-Tholin, ColumbusColumbus has named Marianne Woldbye-Tholin to the new position of VP of the company's global ColumbusCare organization. She was most recently VP for project management in KMD from June 2015 through July 2016, and was with TRYG from October 2012 through May 2015 and was director of business development from October 2012 through May 2015.

Brian Nunes, MicroAccountingBrian Nunes, formerly head of marketing for SWK Technologies, has taken a job with MicroAccounting. Nunes' job change comes as Livingston, N.J.-based SWK is in a state of flux following the departure of CEO Jeff Roth in May. Nunes had served as SWKs VP of marketing, channel, and strategic alliances from June 2015.

SUTHERLAND LEAVES XERO

Jamie Sutherland, Norwest Venture PartnersJamie Sutherland, who spearheaded Xero's entry into the United States, has left the company. Since July, Sutherland has been an entrepreneur-in-residence at Norwest Venture Partners, which is headquartered in Palo Alto, Calif. Sutherland was president of Xero U.S. from November 2011 through March 2015.

InforEdison, N.J.-based Avaap cleaned up with Infor taking three channel awards from the software manufacturer. Avaap, which provides Lawson consulting services, won the FY16 Partner of the Year Net New Business Award, and Cloud Partner Award honors. SWK TURNS THINGS AROUND

Mark Meller, SilverSun TechnologiesSWK Technologies had a lackluster first quarter for 2016. But for the second quarter ended June 30, the Livingston, N.J.-based reseller reversed the drop in product revenue from the March quarter and significantly boosted operating and net income. The numbers were reported this week by SilverSun Technologies, the public company whose only operation is SWK.

XERO BUYERS GETTING BIGGER

Rod Drury, XeroXero's online accounting software is being used by bigger companies than expected. "We are seeing business far larger than we ever intended using Xero," CEO Rod Drury said in his keynote at this week's Xerocon in San Francisco. "We think slightly larger small businesses are coming into this platform." ROSE SEEKS DYNAMICS 365 INFO

Linda Rose, RoseASPRoseASP is seeking opinions from the Microsoft channel about Dynamics 365, essentially Dynamics NAV online. CEO Linda Rose says the effort, via an online survey, is designed to provide "the questions no one else is asking but yet everyone is thinking about." Previewed during July and expected to be available in the fall, Dynamics 365 is Microsoft's most ambitious effort in the cloud yet.
