RAISER'S EDGE PROGRAM STARTED

Blackbaud certifyBlackbaud created a three-tier program of certification for Raiser's Edge users. The new offering from the Charleston, S.C.-based nonprofit software vendor is designed to create a professional development program for users of the fundraising package, who can qualify at the Associate, Professional, and Master levels. Called Blackbaud Certification in The Raiser's Edge, the program has an exam with more than 600 certification questions. Those certified can display the achievement through a certificate, certified seal certified icon and use of bCRE as a professional designation. The Associate and Professional exams are $199 each while the Master's exam fee is $299. The entry-level exam tests skills in navigation, data entry, record management (constituent, gift, and action), batch entry, optional modules. Those seeking Professional-level recognition are examined on in-depth knowledge of query, mail, reports, dashboards, exports, action tracks, events, memberships, volunteers, tributes, prospect research, alumni records, and The Giving Score. Master-level applicants are queried on expert knowledge of The Raiser's Edge, including: configuration, administration, SAP Crystal Reports, and development of policies and procedures to define data consistency practices. Registrations are being accepted for the first two tests while the Blackbaud website shows the Master test is coming soon.

ACCUFUND SIGN BRISBANE AS VAR

Mathew A. McDonald, Brisbane Consulting GroupNonprofit accounting software company AccuFund has signed Brisbane Consulting Group as a reseller for its suite. A subsidiary of CPA firm Lumsden & McCormick, Brisbane will offer the on-premise AccuFund Accounting Suite and cloud-based AccuFund Anywhere. The Nonprofit Solution Division of Buffalo, N.Y.-based Brisbane carries three former Sage products, Abila's Fund Accounting 100, Fundraising 50 and Fundraising Online.

ITA ELECTS CUMLEY AS CHAIR

Kevin Cumley, Informtion Technology AllianceThe Information Technology Alliance has elected new officers, including board chair, Kevin Cumley, president of Forepoint, and Annette Balgord, principal at Affinity NFP. Cumley helped developed an emerging leader program in 2012, and was recently appointed chair of the ITA Young Leader committee. He was VP of North American channels for Avectra starting in August 2011.

NET@WORK SCALES BACK NETWORK

Tom Miller, Net@WorkNew York-based reseller Net@Work has scaled back its plans for a national network of Sage resellers under its Partner Alliance Program. The company followed the recommendations of Tom Miller, who joined the firm in July after leading Sage's channel, to retool the existing program. Miller said Net@Work followed his advice to concentrate on the East Coast and upper Midwest even though it has offices in other regions and in Canada.

Innovative SoftwareInnovative Software has received the President's Award from AccountMate. The award went to the Sterling Heights, Mich.-based company and president Doug Johnston during the recent AccountMate reseller roundtable in Rosemont, Ill. Innovative also got an award for exceptional performance with the CRM package, InfoTrac for AccountMate.

PRONTO NAMES CLOUD SERVICES MANAGER

Chris Dickinson, ProntoAustralian vendor Pronto Software has named Chris Dickinson to the new position of cloud services manager. He takes over as head of the Pronto Hosted Services business unit. A 12-year veteran at Pronto, Dickinson was previous sales business process manager. He also spent three years as operations manager for Pronto's North American division.

INFOR CREATES CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER

Marc Scibelli, InforSoftware giant Infor is putting a new position in the CXO universe with the appointment of Marc Scibelli as chief creative officer. Scibelli, who continues to lead Infor's creative design agency, Hook & Loop, is supposed to take this approach "into the way Infor builds, markets and sells software." This seems a very creative and aggressive move, whether it will have that impact, way too early to tell.

SVP EGGERS LEAVING BLACKBAUD

Jana B. Eggers, BlackbaudJana B. Eggers, SVP of products and marketing, is leaving Charleston, S.C.-based Blackbaud on October 3. This news came in an SEC filing with the usual terse wording of such announcements. Eggers had been with the nonprofit accounting software vendor for nearly three years, having started in November 2010. She was CEO of a company called Spreadshirt from October 2006 through November 2010.

SAGE NA ABSORBS SAGEONE UNIT

Henry Benamram, SageSage North America has absorbed the former unit that had been created to market its low-end, online SageOne product in the United States. The product line had been under general manager Henry Benamram, who goes from managing one of the company's most high-profile products to baby-sitting two of its oldest. SageOne now reports to a team headed by Scott Munro in Richmond, Va., and a spokesperson says the company is hiring a VP of alliances and marketing for Sage One.

ACUMATICA TASKS NEW CHANNEL VP

Sean Chatterjee, AcumaticaAcumatica has named Sean Chatterjee as VP of partner sales, new position for the Kirkland, Wash.,-based vendor. Previously, Chatterjee had been director of international sales, a position he held from May 2012. He was director of business development for Altum from March 2010 until May 2012. He was with Everest Software from January 2000 through August 2009 and was manager of direct sales for his last two years there.
