Two issues ago, this newsletter reported that the Sererra Consulting Group, a reseller based in Irvine, Calif., was carrying multiple cloud products, including Intacct. That was followed last week by a report from Intacct VP Taylor Macdonald that Sererra wasn’t an Intacct reseller, even though its website seemed to state it was. Then a couple of days later in an interview, Sererra CEO and founder Vijay Saha, said Sererra was an Intacct reseller, which was followed the next day by an announcement that Sererra had indeed signed with Intacct. In any event, Sererra is a SaaS specialist that also carries NetSuite, SAP’s Business ByDesign and Salesforce.com.

So I can’t justify going to Sapphire, SAP’s big user conference in May. But I am going to Convergence in Atlanta tomorrow to make sure I hit the Randy and Andy party. The real event starts on Sunday with a reception at the Georgia Aquarium. (I think aquariums must be on the agenda planner’s list. I’ve been at conference events at the following: Baltimore, 2x; New Orleans, 2x, Chicago, 1x, Boston 1x Georgia 1x). Read more...

A little earlier than perhaps expected, the era of Pascal Houillon as CEO of Sage North America began this week. He took over from Sue Swenson, who had held the job since from March 2008, and had it for one of the toughest periods imaginable since she got to be the hatchet-person for shedding people and costs. Yesterday was her last day. The press has not officially talked to Houillon – a scheduled call was postponed until May 6 because of the timing of the end of the first half yesterday, March 31, and the announcement of those results on May 4.
