PRODWARE BUYS ALL QURIUS UNITS

qurius logoProdware, a French Dynamics reseller, has acquired all of the operating companies of Qurius, the Netherlands Dynamics  reselling company that has been liquidating its operations. With conditions in Europe weak, Qurius started on a steep downward slide when it found its German operations were unraveling and it dismissed its director there.

COLUMBUS SELLS DUTCH UNIT

Columbus logoColumbus, a Dynamics reseller based in Denmark, has sold its operations in the Netherlands to Abecon. The sale came as the two parties entered a three-year franchisee agreement. Under what was termed a global implementation alliance, Abecon was designed the “preferred partner and franchise taker for Columbus in the Benlux”. Despite the cheery language, this looks like the latest in a string of countries that Columbus, formerly known as Columbus IT Partner, has exited in the past three years.

CONVIO DENTS BLACKBAUD NET

Marc Chardon, BlackbaudWith its purchase of Convio under its belt, nonprofit software vendor Blackbaud reported sharply lower net income for the third quarter ended September 30. The company earned $2.8 million in the most recently completed period, down from $10.2 million a year earlier.

PERVASIVE NET, REVS RISES

Pervasive logoWith the company out for bids, Pervasive Software reported a strong increase in earnings for the third quarter ended September 30. Net income doubled to $400,000 for the most recently ended quarter, compared to $200,000 a year ago.

EDGEWATER REVS, NET DROPS

Shirley Singleton, EdgewaterEdgewater Technology, parent of Dynamics reseller Fullscope, reported a sharp drop in net income on a 3.2-percent decline in revenue for the third quarter ended September 30. Net income fell to $793,000 from $1.5 million while revenue dropped to $24.2 million from $25 million in last year’s corresponding period.

Microsoft LogoDynamics CRM is getting ready for an expansion of the operating systems that it supports. The December service update extends support to Firefox and Chrome on Windows PCs and Firefox and Apple Safari on Macs. Safari support will also be provided for the iPad. Read more...

Aptean logoOnyx CRM, a web-based system, has full-featured contact management capabilities for iPhones and iPads with the release of version 7.3. The new capabilities enable customers to view and edit lists of incidents and tasks for specific customers, enter and edit notes, and view pertinent customer product information.

Epicor logoEpicor has introduced the Epicor System Backup & Recovery system, a turnkey product that includes installation, configuration, monitoring and emergency response. The Epicor system provides continuous backup in real-time to the Epicor data center with access provided to system and critical data within two to four hours, depending on number of users and other various factors.

NETSUITE SPENT $318K ON ORACLE CONFAB

Zach Nelson, NetSuiteNetSuite paid $318,000 in marketing fees to Oracle related to the recent Oracle OpenWorld conference. That conference was one at which NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson spoke about joint plans of NetSuite and Oracle for reaching two-tier installations. The information is in the form 10-Q filed regarding NetSuite’s third quarter ended September 30.
