Sage North America has hired Gabrielle Boko as EVP of marketing. This is a fairly heavy-duty hire. Boko was VP of marketing for SAP from June 2007 until this month and had the same title at OutlookSoft from May 2006 until that company was acquired by SAP. Going back in the early 2000s, she was a senior director at Cognos from August 1997 through May 2001.

Acumatica says it has signed 26 resellers “in the past months” with 11 of the new recruits in Asia. These include Vietnam-based Innovative Consulting. Acumatica published only a partial list of the newbies. But it is notable that this is not a list of Sage and Microsoft VARs, although ESC Software Business Systems, a Tempe, Ariz.-based Sage VAR , is among the group.

Dynamics VAR Tribridge has acquired Tampa, Fla.-based Intelledon, a talent management solutions consultant and integrator. Terms were not disclosed but this appears to be a fairly large nugget for Tribridge to devour. Founded in 2001, Intelledon is a global company specializing in the talent and learning market.

The North American organizations selected for this year’s Dynamics Inner Circle show changing names. But the composition itself is not surprising, a lot of the bigger VARs with a handful of midlevel folks thrown in, which is typical. There’s one fairly new development – except for Armanino, which has been putting a lot of emphasis on growing its consulting and reselling business, there were no accounting firms in the list; no McGladrey or Wipfli, to name a couple that used to make it.

Microsoft trotted out a new acronym, Global Independent Software Vendor, at the Worldwide Partner Conference this week Among the four companies announced in the new problem is Atlanta-based I.B.I.S., which is joined the program as a provider of industrial distribution capabilities built on Dynamics AX. Exact Macola has changed its approach to conferences with the establishment of two new conferences. New managing director Alison Forsythe has repositioned its Nexus 2013 conference and added another in April 2014. Forsythe is also scheduling a Macola reunion on September 5 in Marion, Ohio, to celebrate the founding of the original Macola company in that town.

Sam Hunter, a former Sage North America executive, has joined SWK Technologies as EVP of customer experience. The position is a new one for the Livingston, N.J.-based Sage reseller. Hunter was SVP and general manager of Sage Fixed Assets and Value Business Unit from May 2007 until he left the company.

Epicor Software has obtained a nationwide injunction against Alternative Technology Solutions, which it had accused of copyright and trademark infringement, among other issues. Irvine, Calif.-based Epicor will seek substantial damages, according to its general counsel John Ireland. ATS was also accused of unlawful and fraudulent business practices, intentional interference with Epicor Software License agreements, and unjust enrichment.

Dynamics Master VAR Socius has signed TBS Automation Systems as its thirteenth sales affiliate. It’s the first signing in a few weeks by any of the three U.S. Master VARs. Based near Cherry Hill, N.J., TBS carries Dynamics GP. The firm’s website says it carries Exact Macola, but it is not on the Exact list of VARs.

Acumatica has hired Dawn Jaeger, who had led channel development for SugarCRM. Jaeger was director of global channel development for SugarCRM from August 2011 until this week. Before that she was with SAP from January 2005 through July 2011 and was senior channel development manager for SAP Business ByDesign for the last 11 months or tenure there.
